Children hunger, immorality runs rampant, injustice occurs in the courts, and our loved ones die of cancer. All under the nose of an all-powerful God of love.

God is not ultimately responsible for the existence of sin. Moral evil is Man's direct disobedience in the face of God's will. Evil is a "privatio boni" an absence of good rather than an act in itself. It is divine punishment for sin. Natural evil is the result of man and angels disrupting the natural evil.   The Problem of Evil is the oldest and most complicated theological problem in all of religious studies. The classic explanations given in the Bible are the story of the Garden of Eden, and the the Book of Job. In other words, it is mainly a Jewish.
